Rochelle Galindo Announces Run for Colorado House District 50
Greeley, CO – On the celebration of our nation’s birth, Rochelle Galindo announced her intent to run to represent Colorado House District 50 at the annual Weld County Democrat’s Fourth of July Breakfast.
“I am running to be your representative because I am one of you and I want to ensure that Greeley, Evans, and Garden City continue to have representation that reflects the people it represents.”
Galindo was born and raised in Greeley. Her father works in the oil and gas industry and her mother works in the meat industry.
“My family is working class and I have seen my parents struggle to provide a better life for me. I want to ensure that every Coloradan continues to enjoy the quality of life that this state has to offer. This means maintaining accessibility to good jobs, a good education, and to your elected officials.”
Since a young age, Galindo has worked in her community to promote inclusiveness and engage participation in local politics. As City Councilmember, she has held monthly town halls to ensure her accessibility to residents and has provided a monthly newsletter to update the community on what is going on in their local government. Galindo promises to work to ensure transparency and accessibility in your state government.
“People feel that the system is rigged against them. And there is mistrust in the government, no matter what side of the isle you stand on. It is time to empower people to be excited about the future of their government.”
